And where does the thespian Longfellow fit into the scene? These are just some of the characters that make Pratt's return a chaotic nightmare. Audiences need not have seen Murdered to Death to enjoy this play.

Hawk Cliff Open House

This year, the Hawk Cliff Foundation has added an extra one day open house as part of the Doors Open Ontario events taking place around Elgin County. This world-renowned birding site is of particular interest during the fall hawk migration, as raptor banders record and tag migrating species. The timing is perfect for the usual Peregrine flights, so keep an eye right along the cliff for these speedsters!

At 11am and 2pm, visitors can view the banded hawks up close before they are released, and learn about the tagging of Monarch butterflies who rest here before continuing their migration

The story of the last great supply of fresh drinking water on Earth. No matter where you live, the Great Lakes affect us all. And as species of fish disappear and rates of birth defects and cancer rise, it seeems one thing is clear: the Great Lakes are changing and something's not quite right with the water.

Waterlife is a co-production between the National Film Board of Canada and Primitive Entertainment Inc. The film tells the epic story of the Great Lakes by following the cascade of its water from Northern Lake Superior to the Atlantic Ocean, through the lives of some of the 35 million people who rely on the lakes for survival.

When Terry recognized that he would not be able to complete his Marathon, he instead bequeathed his mission to those very Canadians who kept him going day in and day out. He knew before his death that there would be an annual Terry Fox Run in cities, towns, hamlets and villages across the country. It was our turn to inspire Terry Fox.

And almost 30 years later, Canadians adopted Terry’s mission of finding a cure for all cancers with an enthusiasm and passion that has done him proud. In keeping with the approach of its founder, The Terry Fox Run (since 1981) is an innovative and volunteer-led event, all-inclusive, non-competitive, with no corporate sponsorship, incentives or fundraising minimums.

It has become a fall tradition in Canada to gather your friends and family, lace on your shoes, bring our pledge sheets and attend your favourite Terry Fox Run site, where Organizers have no budget for expenses but have unlimited appreciation for your attendance!

There are 2.5km, 5km, and 10km courses and participants may run, walk, roll, ride, rollerblade or skateboard at their own pace. Course is wheelchair accessible.

The 17th Annual Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup

The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is a Vancouver Aquarium conservation in action program that began in 1994 with a handful of Vancouver Aquarium employees who wanted to participate in the Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup. In 2009, nearly 57,000 Canadians registered to cleanup 1,568 sites across Canada. Over 160,900 kg of litter was removed from a cumulative distance of 2,500 km of shoreline, which is equivalent to the approximate driving distance from Vancouver to the Manitoba/Ontario border. Some of the more unusual items found in the past include a message in a bottle (the message said, "Please don't litter"), false teeth, a living room set, a canoe made out of duct tape, wedding dress, disco ball, a hotel safe, a toboggan, a mini trampoline and a clothesline complete with poles and pins.

Have a positive impact on your local environment by removing litter from shorelines along ponds, streams, rivers, lakes, or oceans in your community. Most shoreline litter originates from land and land-based activities, so by stepping up to ensure our litter doesn't reach Canada's waterways, we are all taking action to protect our environment.

The BBC Last Night of the Proms is one of the most famous music events in the world, listened to and watched by millions around the globe. On Saturday, September 11th, the powerful finale of the 2010 BBC Proms season will be broadcast LIVE via satellite from the Royal Albert Hall in London, to select movie theaters nationwide. Presented in Canada by Cineplex Entertainment and BY Experience, under exclusive license from BBC Worldwide.

While it lives up to its reputation of a fun Last Night party celebrating British tradition, it equally encapsulates the spirit of the Proms, with leading international artists and an all-embracing programme, introducing new works alongside much-loved classics and bringing together the different themes of the season.

This year, tradition meets high jinks as Jiří Bělohlávek conducts his second Last Night. Renée Fleming lends her lustrous soprano to music by Strauss, Dvořák and Smetana. Former BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist Maxim Rysanov gives Tchaikovsky’s popular cello variations a new voice, and loyal Prommers can spot the last traces of the season’s Wood, Parry, Wagner, Rodgers and Hammerstein and opera themes.

Hawk Cliff Weekends

As always, the first Hawk Cliff Weekend is perfectly timed for the main push of Broad-winged Hawks. Historically, the peak for this species has been a few days before or after Sep 17th and in past years they've had as many as 130,000 Broad-winged Hawks recorded in a SINGLE DAY!! (along with many other species too).

The second weekend is timed to catch the end of the main Broad-winged Hawk flights and with a little luck, the first of the Peregrine Falcons. Last season they counted 1000's of Kestrels and Sharpies during this timeframe. This is typically when there are the largest volumes of September migrants.

Bird showings and monarch butterfly tagging demonstrations held each day at 11am and 2pm.
